An Italian design masterpiece born from the pencil of the Maestro Ignazio Gardella.
Conceived in 1948 in a Milan in architectural and ideological turmoil, Alzabile (lit. 'liftable') is not only a name, but also a function: from reading lamp it can 'stand up', turning the lampshade, and become a floor lamp: a brilliant project in its simplicity.
Passion, first and foremost.
Passion in the search for quality, on both the material and human side; passion for Made in Italy and for a production process that value craftsmanship over assembly line: all of this has always been TATO, a young and innovative company that has its roots in the mid-century classics, and has made quality its distinctive trait, speaking the language of avant-garde while respecting tradition.
